It is with great sadness that we announce that Brooklyn Kings point guard Chris Sandy died on Thursday, November 23rd in a car accident in southeastern Finland. His car was struck by another vehicle that had spun out of control. He was 27. Formerly of Fresno State and the Harlem Globetrotters, Sandy was in his first season in Europe. He was playing for one of the top Finnish teams, Kouvot of Kouvola. The 6-foot-2 guard averaged 18 points and was third in the league with 3.9 assists per game.
